Oban, the Isles of Mull and Iona
Experience Scotland’s mountains, lochs and glens, the resort of Oban and the enchanting and tranquil islands of Mull and Iona.
Head North into Scotland and travel to Oban for a 5 night stay
Relax on the ferry from Oban to Craignure, to visit the enchanting Isle of Mull, then head further North of the island to the colourful harbour town of Tobermory. It is home to an excellent selection of locally produced arts and crafts, the Mull museum, a distillery and a Marine Visitor Centre.
Today we head to Fort William, one of the Highlands major resorts in a dramatic setting sitting on the shore of Loch Linnhe and lying under the shadow of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
We board the ferry from Oban to Craignure again, but this time to travel via the south of Mull and Glen More to Fionnphort, to board a foot passenger only ferry for the short crossing to the tranquil island of Iona. Discover its Abbey (admission not included) and the burial place of the Scottish Kings. Although a tiny island, Iona is full of history and heritage.
Explore the coastal resort of Oban, which is known as the ‘gateway to the isles’. Whilst there stroll along the esplanade, visit McCaigs Tower which overlooks the town, enjoy a wee dram at the distillery and visit the War and Peace museum
Sadly, it’s time to head for home
