This weekend Grassington station welcomed Station manager & water rescue instructor Dave Dixon and a group of firefighters from across North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service to carry out their level 2 initialSee More water rescue training at our station and practical sessions in the river wharfe.
Dave a former firefighter at Grassington has been instrumental in providing extra training and equipment as well as raising awareness within the service around water safety in our area and the risk the river wharfe can pose to the community.
We’re hopeful this will be the first of many out reach training days at Grassington.
